Lets talk Yogurt

What a wonderfully satisfying and quick breakfast or snack any time during the day or night. Probiotics are a necessity to properly break down and digest foods that can get stuck in your gut and cause inflammation. But not all yogurts are created equal!


When you are at your local supermarket and grabbing a four pack of yogurt for your week, make sure that you take a few minutes in front of the dairy case and read the labels of what you are about to purchase. Many brands contain way too much sugar along with other ingredients that may cause havoc with your own body.


Dairy can also be a major problem for a lot of people. But, the good news is that there are many brands and styles of yogurt to chose from now! You can find yogurt made from almonds, cashews, oatmeal, and other sources. You can still get your healthy, and yummy, probiotics in this form without causing other products that dairy can create.


It is best to purchase a yogurt that doesn't have added sugar. It is very easy to select your own form of sweetener and then to decide how much of the sweetener should go into your small cup of yogurt. Add fruits, nuts, and/or healthy grains instead of sweetener too!


I suggest add another 15 minutes to your shopping experience and read those labels, try some new types of yogurt and find some of your new favorites and get even more mileage from this wonderful quick breakfast or snack..
